Participation in any of Nexo Chicago’s tours is strictly voluntary. Neither Nexo Chicago Tours nor the guides that provide tours for Nexo Chicago Tours will be responsible for any physical injury, damage or loss of personal items during tours. Just be cautious and follow the guides’ instructions. The guides reserve the right to deny participation to any person, for any reason, on any of the tours.
The itinerary as well as the order of the stops can vary according to weather conditions, holidays, the opening and closing hours of each place and/or any other unforseen circumstances or due to organizational purposes. We appreciate your understanding.
What is a VENTRA card?
VENTRA is a prepaid card that allows you to pay for trips on CTA and PACE trains and buses within the city. You can buy a one-trip ticket (single-ride Ventra ticket), or 1-day pass, 3-day pass), 7-day pass and 30-day pass. You can pay by credit card, debit card or cash. If paying with cash, keep in mind that the vending machines that are in the train stations do not give change. Buses accept cash if you do not have a VENTRA card.
Where do I get my VENTRA card?

The free gratuity-based tour does not have a fixed price, but allows you to decide the value of the experience. Each traveler values if the visit has been worthwhile and decides the contribution according to their degree of satisfaction.

How long are the tours?
The tours last approximately 2 – 2.5 hours.
What time do I have to arrive for the tour?
arrive 10-15 minutes before the departure time of the tour. This way,
we can organize the group and start the tour on time.
What places in the city are visited during the tours?
We offer tours of downtown Chicago, known as the Loop with its commercial and theater district; tours of the financial district with its historic buildings; tours of the Pedway and elevated train; and a tour of the Riverwalk which includes a stroll along Chicago’s riverfront with its iconic architecture. Do I have to book in advance for the free tour or any other paid tour?
Yes, you need to book online, for the free or the paid tours, to help us plan the tour. Our tours are designed for individuals or small groups of no more than 15 people so we are able to offer the best quality and personalization.
Are there tours on rainy days?
Yes, the tours operate rain or shine, unless your safety is compromised due to extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances, in which case we will notify you of the cancellation via email and WhatsApp to the number and email address that has been provided during the reservation.
Is there a maximum or minimum number of people allowed on the tours?
We do not have a minimum number of people needed for the tours. As for the maximum, the size of the group is 15 so that each person can enjoy a more personalized experience. If you plan to tour with a group of more than 10 people, you will need to book a private tour by sending us an email to email@example.com.
What languages will be spoken on the tours?
All our tours are given exclusively in Spanish.
Can children join the tours?
Children 13 years old or younger accompanied by the father, mother or legal guardian can join the tours for free. It is necessary to book online also for them.
Can I join the tours once they have started?
For organizational reasons, it is not possible to join any of the tours halfway or once they have started. It is recommended to arrive at the meeting point 10-15 minutes before the start of the tour.
Is it possible to do the tours on a wheelchair?
Tours on wheelchairs require modifications and adjustments to the route. For more information, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do the tours include the price of tickets to the places of interest?
No, none of our tours includes visits to any site that requires paid entrance.

How can I book a private tour?
Private tours are designed for families, couples or groups looking for a more personalized experience with a private guide. For more information about a private tour, please contact us at email@example.com.

How far in advance can I book a tour?
You can book a tour anytime and up to 12 hours before the start time of the tour for our morning tours, and 2 hours before the start time of the tour for our afternoon tours.
How can I change or cancel my reservation?
If you want to change the date of a free or paid tour, please send us an email to email@example.com with your reference number and the new date you want to tour.
If you need to cancel a reservation, let us know at least 24 hours in advance by sending us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or a message via WhatsApp at +1 312-731-5577. We will cancel your reservation and will credit you 100% of the reservation price.
